Ertugrul Ghazi Urdu | Episode 1 | Season 1
In the inaugural episode of Ertugrul Ghazi, the narrative commences by introducing Ertugrul, a young member of the Kayi tribe and the son of its leader, Suleyman Shah. Suleyman Shah, a respected figure, is the father of four children - Ertugrul, Gundogdu, Sungurtekin, and Dundar. The storyline unfolds within the confines of an oba, a nomadic tent city, where Ertugrul is entrusted with a sword, solemnly pledging its use for just causes.
On the flip side, the formidable Titus, a commander hailing from the Knights Templar, emerges as a contrasting force. Originating in 1119, the Knights Templar are portrayed as a robust and influential entity in Ertugrul's initial narrative. While the Kayi tribe boasts over 2000 tents and a reputation as formidable warriors, they operate from a mobile setup, in stark contrast to the Knights Templar's imposing forts.
The Knights Templar are depicted transporting prisoners, among whom is Halime, her younger brother, and her father, Numan - the exiled prince of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum. In a daring escape attempt, Halime's father sustains injuries, prompting an attack by the soldiers. Ertugrul and his men intervene, leading to a confrontation where Ertugrul takes down Bisol, Titus's brother.
This critical incident sets the stage for subsequent developments. Ertugrul extends protection to Halime and her family, a decision that raises eyebrows within his clan. Suleyman Shah, the tribe's leader, receives a briefing from Ghazanfar, a trader bearing gifts. However, Suleyman declines the offerings, urging for their distribution among the needy. Ghazanfar relays information about Seljuq rulers claiming victory in Konya but emphasizes the ongoing destruction of Constantinople. Additionally, Suleyman is made aware of the strained relations between Muslims and the Crusaders.
